Expression of Interest
Impact North is currently exploring opportunities to expand our entrepreneur support network across Northern Australia. As part of this process, we are seeking expressions of interest from people who may be interested in future Local Entrepreneur Coordinator opportunities.
This is not a standard recruitment process. We are looking to connect with people who are passionate about supporting their communities and helping local entrepreneurs succeed. The final structure of these opportunities, including hours, employment arrangements and remuneration, will be shaped based on organisational needs and the strengths of successful candidates.
Location: Barkly Region, or East Arnhem (Nhulunbuy Region) NT
About Impact North
Impact North is an Aboriginal-controlled not-for-profit organisation supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entrepreneurs and businesses across Northern Australia.
We work at the intersection of social enterprise and remote Indigenous business, creating positive change in our communities. Through our programs and networks, we help entrepreneurs turn ideas into opportunities, strengthen local economies and create meaningful community impact.
The Opportunity
We're interested in hearing from people who are well connected in their local communities and who enjoy helping others access opportunities and support.
Local Entrepreneur Coordinators play an important role in helping entrepreneurs connect with Impact North's programs, networks and broader support systems. They act as a trusted local contact, helping people understand what support may be available and assisting with referrals and connections when needed.
While the role may look different across communities, we're looking for people who are passionate about supporting local success and creating pathways for others.
About you
You'll bring:
- Strong local community connections and trusted relationships
- A genuine interest in supporting people, businesses and community development
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- A respectful and culturally safe approach when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities
- The ability to work independently and maintain appropriate confidentiality
- A willingness to learn and work alongside a broader regional team
You do not need to meet every possible requirement to express your interest. We are keen to hear from people with a range of backgrounds and experiences.
What we offer
- Flexible work arrangements
- Opportunities to contribute to positive community outcomes
- Support, training and professional development
- Connection to a growing entrepreneur and innovation network
- A collaborative and purpose-driven organisation
We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply.
We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and will provide reasonable adjustments through the recruitment process. If you need support, please let us know.
